Post-Placement
Once you bring the baby home, you will be required to participate in three post-placement visits. These typically take place in your home. Your Social Worker will come out to visit you at two weeks, three months, and finally six months. Post-placement visits are needed to file your finalization documents with the court. The purpose of these visits is to assess with you how things are going in your home. The social worker writes a report and recommendations about your readiness, and your child’s, for legalization to occur.

Don't Stress
Post-placements are not supposed to be stressful. Post-placement visits are incredibly special to us because we love to visit your family after birth. We enjoy seeing everyone in your family step into their new roles. Visits are short where we get updates from you. You are also welcome to ask any questions you may have during these visits. When you adopt through us you become a part of the AIC family and we'll always be here to support you.
